Copenhagen Fashion Week: Faves Thus Far

The Autumn-Winter collections have been showing in Copenhagen this week, and goddamnit there's some sartorial talent in Denmark!  I love taking a peek at some of the lesser-known fashion weeks around the globe (although Copenhagen is really quite well known - I guess I mean any fashion week that is outside the NY-London-Milan-Paris framework).  Because I more often than not am unfamiliar with many of the designers, I'm really forced to just look at the clothes.  Sounds simple, right?  Kind of what any fashion editor worth their salt should always be doing.  It's hard though, when viewing the collections of super-famous designers with whose style you're familiar and with whose design houses there is so much fame and history associated.

Some of what I've found particularly beautiful in the Copenhagen collections:

Fall-friendly frills at YDE:

Streamlined chic at Benedikte Utson:

Feminine menswear at Karen by Simonsen:

Beautiful military at Margit Brandt:

Amazingly wearable favourite thus far is Munthe plus Simonsen:
