I know that I shoud probably be filled with hatred and disgust for the man, but instead I'm filled with a genuinely deep sadness. He's a creative genius and one of the most innovative artists in fashion history, and what I really struggle to understand is how he could think like this. I mean, as a gay man working in an industry that is centred on modernity and globalization and innovation, how on earth can you possibly have such strong biases against any particular group?
It's hard to realize that someone you have admired so strongly for so long is really deeply flawed and would be pleased to see many of his contemporaries and customers gassed. 65 years seems like a long time, but clearly it isn't.
